Allumette is a restaurant built from emotion, technique, dedication, and memory. It is a place that is at once comfortable, simple, challenging and contemporary. At the core of the restaurant is wonderful food and drink sourced from the most desirable places and people. There is also our fine staff. The interpretations built of these foods will receive as much care at Allumette as they did before entering the door. It is our duty to honor and pay respect to these products and to the diners joining us every night. Our journey will stem from letting go of preconceptions, and living in the experience that we will create here together, at Allumette. Owners Charles Kelly and Bill DiDonna met chef Miles Thompson (Nobu, Animal, Son of Gun) when they learned of his desire to expand his esteemed “apartment dining” concept to a larger format. The summer of 2012 saw Miles deploying his vision at the owners’ former restaurant, Allston Yacht Club, two days a week. Today, you will walk into Allumette, a relaxed, intimate space to experience Miles’ innovative but familiar menu, true avante-garde comfort food. Serena Herrick (Harvard and Stone) has created the inventive cocktail menu and the spirits list. |
